The deep sounds of artillery shells echo threw the forest. The Battle of Bastogne Begins. The Americans are dug in, tight and tough, in and around the small village of Bastogne. Their mission is critical; they must stop the armored push of The Nazi’s. The weather is brutally cold, supplies are dwindling, and the defenders are vastly outnumbered. One long cold day follows another. American forces will continually attempt to transport provisions into beleaguered comrades. The Germans will mount a sustained and furious attack.

From September 1944 to February 1945, eight U.S. infantry and two U.S. armored divisions were thrown into the "green hell of Hurtgen" - fifty square miles of thick, rugged, hilly woods on the Belgian - German border, full of German soldiers in a deadly network of bunkers. The butcher's bill was high: casualty rates ran to 50% and more for most rifle companies. The G.I.'s who went into that forest to fight -- and to die in the thousands had another name for it. It was one that for obvious reasons, was never publicized by the media back home during those times. They called it simply "The Death Factory."

General Omar Bradley knew he had to have Carentan. The crossroads town of some 4,000 people sat astride the N-13 highway as well as the Cherbourg-Paris railroad, which meant that in June 1944 it was also positioned between the American landing beaches at Utah and Omaha. Taking it, though, would be no simple affair. This is the first in a series of three games. These game are being played in cooperation with High Energy Painball.

"Sebastian Shaw is the most feared Domestic terrorist of our time, he has single handedly taken over a great city and its surrounding area in our United States. He spreads his treachery without remorse, and without hesitation. He has turned away all forms of the government, and he has attacked troops from the Mountain Brigade from Fort Drum. He destroyed a full military convoy and taken its Commander, Major Dickson, prisoner. His Hierarchy is a cancer, spreading all over the upstate NY region. HE must be stopped! I emplore you members of congress enact the emergeny enabling act for the President, allow him to declare war on those within, and allow the United States to be victorious on our own soil. WE must defeat Shaw and his Hierarchy!" Much like Shaw I , this game was among the best of the season.

AP Wire: July 1967, American Marines open new operations in the Central Highlands region. Government sources confirm reports of NVA infantry believed to be the 52nd NVA Regiment & 7th Sapper Battalion to have reoccupied the hills around Firebase Tickbite in the Central Highland region of Vietnam. This was one of the most exciting events of the year. This event had everything great action all day , great players , great story and even a fire lit sky for the night games. Following unrest at recent UN and NATO meetings. The nation of France has declared war on the United States citing the need to rid the world of tyrannical powers. Canada has declared war simultaneously on France and the US to achieve world power status. Seeing this as an opportunity to overthrow the oppressing empire of the US , and returning what rightfully belongs to them , Mexico has begun an invasion of the US by reclaiming the Alamo. Black Sheep and Trash Talk paintball was the Mexican army for this event. with a force of only 9 we held a very respectable 2nd place at the end of day one. we even play a vital part in ousting the US team from its base. great event at a great field.

His name is SHAW, he is a mass murderer, A man who released a chemical weapon in the middle of the city. Our City,.. Albany. A scar across his face, one He put there to signify his personal triumph. It is he, a man without a soul. Sebastian Shaw was sentenced to death by the New York State penal system. That evening The District Attorney's house exploded killing his wife and child. The cult organization known as "The Heirarchy" takes responsibility for the bombing. For thos that were there , you know how much fun was had. For those that missed it ,this was one of APE's best scenarios to date. Thankyou to APE and the Marshal's for putting on such a high quality event.

Castle Conquest XXIII lived up to its reputation of pure paintball insanity once again. With over 1000 players in attendance there was plenty of action to be had. This year even though the defenders did manage to hold the Castle walls , the attackers did still get one the items out. This year Albany Paintball had a very good turnout , with members of Black Sheep , Trash Talk ,and a A.P.E. joining forces.

Fast-paced games, movement and snap-shooting....think you've got what it takes to win a pump tournament?! APE held it's first 3 man pump tournement on March 25th. Those who participated enjoyed a great day of paintball. The compitition was tough , and every team gave it their best. Black Sheep Squad took 4th place in this tournement.

Hornet's Nest Paintball , and Strategic Paintball Productions hosted this event which downstate NY (the Russian's) faced off against upstate NY (the German's). We went in United as a single team and played till we had nothing left. The war cry of DAS BOOT, echoed across the field all day, sending shivers down the spine of the Russain players. We fought like LIONS and were outnumbered 2 to 1 all day. IN OUR FINEST HOUR, WE HELD OUR FLAG UP HIGH!

I have been searching for him for what seems forever. He is my son and he is responsible for the destruction of the Death Star. He has become rebel, and is standing between us and our total domination of the galaxy. I must find him, and I must turn him to the dark side. With him by my side I can destroy the Emperor and take control of the Galaxy. I will continue my search. When I find him, I will destroy the rebel alliance and turn him. I Must turn him.
Darth Vader - Imperial Commander of the Star Fleet. The Imperial forces have succeeded in crushing the rebel forces on Hauth. It was a great day of winter paintball for everyone. October 29th APE held the last in a great series of scenarios for 2006. Everyone that came out enjoyed a great game. The wheather wasnt very cooperative but the APE crowd was shown a good game despite the weather.

On September 9th and 10th APE hosted the Battle of Iwo Jima. Black Sheep Squad took the side of the Americans as we played out this historic battle. The game was divided into missions with short breaks between each one and the Americans found themselves attacking heavily fortified Japanese positions. The two days of play were lots of fun and extremely challenging.
Thanks again to APE and Anthem Productions for another great scenario. Nobody seemed to mind the occasional heavy wind and rain and all of the Sheep enjoyed themselves.

Black Sheep returned to Hornet's Nest on the 19th for another great 6-man scenario tournament. The weather was a little sour but nobody seemed to notice and all of the Sheep that attended had a great time as usual. Congratulations for Off Constantly on their second win at the 'Nest and thanks to all the teams that came out and of course to the fantastic staff at Hornet's Nest for another GREAT event. All of the event staff were world class and everything went off without a hitch -- the type of performance we've come to expect and love from Hornet's Nest!

Anyone who attended the Battle of Dak To in July will tell you that it was one of the best events this region has seen this year. Both sides played hard and a good time was had by all. Black Sheep took the side of the American 4th Infantry division which was lead by Black Sheep's own Toochman who played the roled of General James H. Johnson. The battle was close and the NVA narrowly grasped victory during their final mission to control the main bridge by sneaking a sniper in under the watchful eyes of the American tank gunners.
We'd like to thank all the teams and players that came out as well as Albany Paintball Emporium for making this a great two day event! We look forward to more great scenarios at APE.

Black Sheep Squad competed in the first ever 6-man woodsball tournament at Hornet's Nest in Ancramdale, NY. Black Sheep fielded two teams for this event which finished in 2nd and 5th. Despite the fierce competition, Black Sheep brought home a podium finish. Check out the trophy on display at the APE store on Central Ave. in Albany.
We'd like to thank Hornet's Nest for a great tournament and we look foward to the next one in August. We had a blast playing in this one and we'll be there in force for the next.
