My name is John. I'm 33 and counting. I grew up Bay Village, OH, and attended school there until 9th grade. Then I moved to Attleboro, MA to live with my Father and Step-Mother. I spent my Sophomore and Junior years of high school at Attleboro High. It's a great school...I really liked it there. I also worked for a huge supermarket called "SuperPlace" on South Main Street, which was bought out by Ro-Jack's.
I spent my Senior year at Scotia-Glenville HS, in Scotia, NY. It was a pretty horrible experience. Don't get me wrong, the school was fine! But I had to take 4 years of social studies in 1 year to graduate. And on top of that, one of the teachers (Mr. Ketchum) told me "You're a Zero, and that's all you'll ever amount to." Talk about your inspirational speaches [NOT!] My wife (then just a friend) and friend were with me when he said it. On the upside, I met my wife while there. But we didn't start dating until after I graduated.
In my spare time, I am a volunteer firefighter with the West Glenville Volunteer Fire Company. I am a New York State Certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), and serve as a commissioner for the district. It's a lot of fun! Recently I haven't been able to spend as much time at the firehouse as I like, but I'm trying to save money for a house, and work is a priority. I'm sure there are people at the firehouse that don't see it this way, but that's their problem.
Among my other hobbies are paintball, snowmobiling and photography.
